Good questions, straight answers. Everything people ask before booking a mobile detail. Don't see yours? Call or text (509) 255-3296.
Booking & payment
How do I book?
Use the booking page. Pick your package, vehicle size, and add-ons, see your estimate, send your details, and choose a start time. We text you within one business day to confirm, then send your $15 deposit as a Square invoice. Prefer to talk? Call or text (509) 255-3296.
Why is there a $15 deposit?
Your time slot is held for you and turned away for anyone else. The $15 deposit reserves it and is credited toward your final invoice, so it's not an extra charge.
What's your cancellation policy?
- Cancel more than 24 hours before your appointment: full deposit refund.
- Cancel within 24 hours: the deposit is non-refundable.
- No-show: the deposit is forfeited, and an additional charge of up to 50% of the quoted service price may apply.
Can I reschedule?
Yes. Let us know more than 24 hours ahead and we'll move you to a new time. If we reschedule because of weather, it never costs you anything and your deposit carries to the new date.
How do I pay, and are there fees?
We invoice everything through Square: the $15 deposit up front, then the balance when the work is finished. Cash and ACH bank transfer have no fee. Card payments carry a 2.6% processing fee. Local sales tax of 8.8% applies to all services.
Are your prices final?
Package and add-on prices are posted on our pricing page by vehicle size. The only things that depend on your vehicle are the condition-based add-ons (pet hair, bug/tar/sap, dirt and mud, deep stains). We confirm those tiers with you from photos or your description before the appointment, so there are no surprises on the day.
The day of your detail
Do you need my water or power?
Just power. We carry our own water tank, so all we need on site is access to a standard power outlet.
Everything else is ours: water, equipment, products, hoses, and towels. If there's no outlet we can reach, tell us when you book and we'll work with you to find a solution.
Do I need to be home during the service?
Not necessarily. We need access to a power outlet and the vehicle itself. As long as that's arranged, you're free to go about your day. We'll walk you through the finished work whenever you're available.
How should I prepare my vehicle?
- Take out valuables and personal items, especially from the cabin, trunk, and door pockets.
- Park where there's room to open every door, within reach of a power outlet if possible.
- Keep pets and kids clear of the work area.
- Let us know about anything fragile, aftermarket, or already damaged.
How long does a detail take?
It depends on the package, the vehicle size, and its condition. As a rough guide, an Exterior or Interior Detail usually takes a few hours, and a Full Detail can take most of a day on a larger or heavily soiled vehicle. We'll give you a time window when we confirm your booking so you can plan around it.
Can you detail at my office or apartment?
Often, yes, as long as we're allowed to work there and can reach a power outlet. We bring our own water. Check with your property manager or HOA if needed, and mention the location when you book.
What if I'm not happy with something?
Tell us during the walkthrough before we leave. Our process is built so nothing gets skipped, but if we missed a spot, we'll take care of it on the spot.
Services & results
What's the difference between the packages?
The Exterior Detail is our 8-step outside process. The Interior Detail is our 14-step inside process. The Full Detail is both in one visit and costs over 15% less than booking them separately. You can read every step on the pricing page.
Do you handle pet hair?
Yes. Pet hair removal is a condition-based add-on (Light, Moderate, or Heavy) because it ranges from a few strands to fully embedded upholstery. It's booked with a core package, we confirm the tier from photos first, and it's done right after the deep vacuum. See pricing.
Can you remove every stain, odor, or scratch?
We'll be straight with you. Most stains and odors come out with our extraction process or the Deep Stain Removal add-on. Some stains are permanent dye damage and won't fully lift. Scratches in the paint need paint correction, which isn't part of our detail packages. If we don't think something will come out, we'll tell you before you pay for it.
Is your process safe for my paint and wheels?
Wheels are cleaned first with a non-acidic cleaner that's safe on all wheel finishes, using a dedicated brush that never touches your paint. The paint is hand-washed section by section with the mitt rinsed in clean water between sections, then hand-dried with microfiber towels. No automated brushes.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes. Pristine Suds is a licensed and insured, locally owned Washington business. Fleet and commercial clients can request a certificate of insurance. See our fleet services.
Service area & travel
What's your service area?
We serve Kennewick, Pasco, Richland, and West Richland with no travel fee.
For Burbank, Benton City, Prosser, and other nearby areas outside the Tri-Cities, there's a $25 flat travel fee. See the map.
I'm outside those towns. Will you still come?
Probably. Call or text (509) 255-3296 with your location and we'll confirm availability. The same $25 flat travel fee applies outside the Tri-Cities.
What are your hours?
We answer calls, texts, and emails Monday through Saturday, 9am to 5pm. Appointments start between 10am and 2pm. Evenings and Sundays are available by request, which helps if you work standard hours.
Weather
What happens if the weather turns?
Safety and quality come first. If weather compromises either, we reschedule, and we work to keep the disruption small.
Rain. Light or passing rain usually doesn't stop interior work. Exterior work pauses if rain is active or close enough to undo the wash. Steady or heavy rain means a full reschedule at no charge.
Snow, ice, and freezing temps. We don't detail exteriors during active snowfall, on ice-covered vehicles, or below roughly 35–40°F. Sealants need proper temperatures to bond, and we won't apply a protection product in conditions where it can't perform. Interior work can often still go ahead.
Wind and dust. Common here, especially in spring. Heavy wind-driven dust can undo an exterior detail while we're doing it, so we'll use judgment and may pause or reschedule.
We reach out the evening before or the morning of rather than leaving you guessing, and weather reschedules get first pick of the next available slot.
